Apple has brought new capabilities to the iPad with its new iPadOS 15 that was unveiled at the WWDC 2021 on Monday. The list of new features include App Library, which was seen on iOS 14, Split View, Quick Notes, SharePlay for FaceTime and more.
Users can now place widgets freely on the iPad home screen along with apps, allowing for easier access to information right as the device wakes up.
Apple is also bring App Library to iPadOS 15 with which users can groups apps as per their convenience and access them right from the Dock.
Splitview on iPadOS 15 will allow users to view two apps side-by-side on their iPad screens. Users can even open mails on top of two apps already open.
With Quick Note on iPadOS 15, users can quickly take notes on their iPads, which will appear as a floating window over apps and can be hidden with a simple swipe. This feature will also help users to add links and text to their quick notes. These quick notes can also be made on Mac and even accessed and edited at a later time.
Apple has also introduced SharePlay on iPadOS where users can share content from Apple TV or Apple Music during FaceTime. It will also allow users to share their screens during FaceTime
Safari on iPadOS has also been reformed with the new software update to include Tab Groups, where users can group websites as they want and sync them across devices. It will also support web extensions available from App Store.
Universal Control will allow users to use peripherals across devices and even drag and drop files, say from a Mac to an iPad.
