After several speculations and leaks, BBK-owned smartphone company OnePlus is going to launch its latest flagship smartphone OnePlus Nord tomorrow in a virtual-only event with an augmented reality experience as reports suggest.
Among the various leaks, OnePlus teased via an Instagram video on the company’s official handle that the OnePlus Nord will come with Google’s Messages and Phone apps pre-installed instead of its own SMS and dialer. The device also will have Google’s Duo video chat app pre-installed, according to the video.

Touted to be the world’s first AR smartphone launch, the event will kick off on Tuesday, 21 July at 7:30 pm (IST).

OnePlus Nord expected price:
According to several reports and rumours, the latest offering from OnePlus may be priced less than its perviously launched OnePlus 8 series.
Ahead of the official launch, the company has teased specifications of its “more affordable” yet premium smartphone of the year. An Instagram video posted on company’s official page, references “a pretty great price,” but doesn’t offer specifics, however OnePlus said in a video last month the Nord will cost under $500.

Claimed to be the world’s first AR smartphone, the OnePlus Nord is likely to come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The company has earlier confirmed that the device will come with a Snapdragon 765G 5G processor.
The device is also expected to be available in two variants, with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and storage of 128GB or 256GB. The device is expected to carry a battery capacity of 4,115 mAH with 30W fast charging support via the USB Type-C port.
It’s also expected to have a 48-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens. Other details will be revealed tomorrow during the official launch.
