Businesses and inspiring young entrepreneurs look for answers on how to succeed as quickly as possible when starting a new venture. The answer is not always one they want to hear.
It starts with a simple question Ruben states “Are you looking to make a quick dollar or stay around for the next century?”
Millionaires are made each day then never heard of again, jumping ship when the sales no longer come in. Why is it that most businesses fail?
The immediate answer is sales, but Ruben believes there is a deeper reason behind it.
What makes you believe branding should take more precedence over sales?
If only you go out and get 100 new customers in one month, yet they forget you the next month, you have a problem. The issue is you constantly need to go and remind people you exist. A plan to expand your brand and market presence removes the problem and eventually brings a return month over month without the need to prospect.
How does this tie into personal branding?
One of the greatest examples is Mr. Beast from YouTube and Elon Musk. They make money only to invest it back into their expansion for market attention. Both of these creators are not in it for the sales, yet they come to them as a result of developing a strong enough reputation for which people are therefore attracted to them.
Are you saying ads are dead then?
Not at all. Ads bring in sales with fuels the expansion of your brand being recognized as an industry leader. The equation people use is: Make an ad, get in sales, make more ads to bring in sales. They do not add a piece into their plan that says, “how can I create an ad that’s sole purpose will be to educate or make me(or business) look the best, so that when I run another ad for sales, people will buy because I am embedded in their daily life?”
What does the most for one’s brand?
There are a lot of items people can focus on, but there is one that you need if you will be taken serious. Invest in your website.
This is the place where you can make yourself look the best. You control everything
here. In the marketing world, it is like saying you want to be treated like a millionaire but don’t own a house.
Will it bring you sales immediately? Probably not. Will it help improve your image and help you with long-term results later on in the future? Yes.
