“‘Habits’ hits a lot different than ‘Love Letter’ to me, both were influenced by a girl but tell 2 different stories,” Payton shared with Hollywood Life. “It’s a personal song to me showing light on some s*** I’m always too scared to talk about.”

After a relationship ended abruptly leaving Payton with no closure, he was inspired to express the feelings she left him with on the track and he tells his story through airy guitar, hip-hop beat craft, and lyrical vulnerability, turning up with a signature style of his own.
