“Haze” is Restless Modern’s newest in a string of records, which have been dropping twice each month since the beginning of 2020. This self-released record is a swanky sort of R&B-tinged pop that talks about the process of taking each day at a time and how he deals with the ongoing process of trying to grow as a person and as an independent artist.
Given the social backdrop of this release, Restless Modern has dedicated 100% of the track’s first-year earnings to charitable organizations that support people of color and a push for equality. His statement on the release and related commitment is below:
“As we move into the music industry’s Tuesday blackout, I wanted to take action in connection with my Wednesday release. I encourage other participants (large labels in particular) to do more than simply take a day off. 100% of my earnings from “Haze” in the first year will be donated to a collection of bail funds and to the Color of Change organization. since i am not going to be promoting the release as i usually do, and because i am a small independent artist whose records don’t always pop off, i have advanced this commitment with a $200 donation to ensure that I put my money where my mouth is. colorofchange.org“
